About your visit and frequently asked questions
We want your time at ALEXANDRA HOUSE in Huddersfield to be absolutely wonderful, so we’ve put together some helpful information to make your day as enjoyable as possible.
“How do I Book an Appointment?”
All treatments must be booked in advance by calling Maxine or Frankie on 01484 303786 or emailing us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
“How can I pay?”
All bookings require full payment in advance. Cancellation of any treatment within 24 hours will incur a 100% charge, as will non-attendance.
Prices are subject to change without notification. All prices shown include VAT.
“What if I need to cancel?”
We would appreciate it if you could give us as much notice as possible when cancelling your appointment.

“When should I arrive?”
Packages: Our packages are scheduled to allow time for changing and movement around the spa. You do not need to arrive more than 5-10 minutes prior to the time stated in your booking.
Individual Treatments: Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
We offer a reliable treatment schedule and as such please appreciate that late arrivals will not receive an extension of the scheduled treatment time to avoid inconvenience to other guests and the same treatment price will apply.
Groups: Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes before the time stated in your booking. As we are a small, friendly spa we only have 4 treatment rooms – we therefore schedule treatments within the confines of room availability. We will always endeavour to schedule individuals to minimise waiting times for groups.
“What should I wear?”
Outdoor shoes are not permitted in the Spa area – we provide footwear for our guests to wear or you are welcome to bring your own to use whilst you are with us.
If you have booked a package with us then we provide you with complimentary robes for your use whilst you are with us. If you have booked the thermal rooms, please bring swimwear.
“What are your Changing Facilities?”
We have male and female changing rooms both fitted with lockers and showering facilities.
“What do I wear in Treatments?”
We provide complimentary robes for your use whilst you are with us. We suggest that you either wear your underwear under the robes or bring something that you will be comfortable in.
On the day
“Can I keep my Mobile Phone with me?”
Please respect other guests’ right to privacy and quiet. For the comfort of all our guests we request that mobile phones are switched to silent at all times. If you need to make a call the spa team will direct you to a designated call area outside the spa.
“Is there somewhere safe for my valuables?”
We provide lockers for you to keep your belongings in whilst visiting with us however we do advise you not to bring valuables with you to the spa – you will need to remove items of jewellery for all treatments. We are unable to accept responsibility for looking after your personal effects and for any loss or damage incurred.
“Can I Smoke anywhere?”
The Spa and its grounds are a no smoking area.
“What is the minimum Age?”
Any child under 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult and a disclaimer form signed.
Contraindications to treatments
There are some contraindications to some treatments at ALEXANDRA HOUSE. Treatments are carried out subject to the completion of our Medical Client Questionnaire. If you have any conditions that we should take into account when you visit us, for example heart conditions, high/low blood pressure, circulatory disorders, epilepsy, arthritis/rheumatism, recent surgery, diabetes, allergies or pregnancy, you should seek the advice of your doctor before booking your treatments. If you do not let us know of any special requirements at the time of booking we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fully accommodate you on your visit. If you have any concerns, please give us a call on 01484 303786 (and where appropriate your doctor). If any treatment is found unsuitable we will recommend an alternative where possible.
ALEXANDRA HOUSE is committed to providing accessibility for all. Whilst we make every effort to ensure all guests find ALEXANDRA HOUSE easily accessible, due to the layout of the building, some of the facilities are not on the ground floor. However, we are able to provide treatments and the use of a relaxation room and changing facilities on the ground floor. If you have access difficulties and would prefer a ground floor treatment room, please ensure that you mention this at the time of booking. Our thermal rooms are accessed by stairs only.
All prices, treatments and information are current at the time of distribution and are subject to revision without notice. All prices are inclusive of VAT. Our best reward is your personal recommendation and as such gratuities are left to your discretion.
You can purchase gift vouchers at the spa or online and we will post them to you. Our vouchers are valid for 12 months.
What we collect

What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual.
