The Spa launched a new Wellness Programme earlier this year with a concept to move beyond relaxation and pampering, giving you tools to lead a calmer and happier life. Life today can be challenging – balancing work, home life, family, friends and multiple roles. We live in a world with relentless digital and media overload with constant access to unpleasant news, updates about everyone’s lives and views and an unrelenting pressure to keep in touch and up-to-date with everyone and everything. Such ‘noise’ in our lives can affect our ability to focus, increase stress hormones, lead to anxiety and depression and affect our sleep. These pressures make it even more important to make time to quieten your mind and learn new ways to help you cope with everyday life.
With our new Wellness Programme, you can leave the shrieking world behind, digitally disconnect, reconnect with and strengthen your inner self and take some positive steps to make your life more enjoyable and manageable.
Every month we will be focussing on a different theme and will bring you a range of options:
- A group wellness workshop and hypnotherapy session in our Thermal Rooms
- Recommendations for a spa treatment or pamper package
- Advice about aromatherapy body oils, bath oils and essential oils that you can use at home.

Mindfulness & Meditation
4 week course, £50
Based on the Jon Kabatt Zinn model of mindfulness this brand new 4 week course provides you with all the insight and techniques to develop a successful mindfulness practise. The programme is designed to reduce stress and anxiety and re-energise and reprogram the body and mind to help you live life to the full.
Mindfulness has many health benefits, which are backed by NICE research and many GPs. Some of the main benefits include: improvement of emotional and physical health and wellbeing, controlling anxiety and mood problems, improving relationships, improving memory and recall, better work performance, improved focus, concentration and the ability to study more effectively.
Adele will show you how a Mindfulness practise can fit easily into your routine. The simple principles have long-lasting results and the sessions are incredibly simple, accessible, practical and straightforward. Anyone can be shown how to do it and it can be easily tailored for individual lives and challenges.

Sunday Afternoon Mini Retreat
